What workflow functionality does FileCM have?
FileCM workflow increases productivity by automating work-centric or document-centric work processes. The workflow designer provides the efficiency and security of task-based flow management and monitoring while also supporting ad hoc flows.
Users can easily initiate ad hoc flows of one or more tasks, routing them to selected users or distribution lists, where they will appear in each member’s To Do Inbox. Detailed audit trails follow the flow to let originators and current task members view history and manage progress.
Flows can be created by users from their To Do window, or they can choose from a template that has been designed by their FileCM Administrator to partially or completely automate the flow. Flows created by your FileCM Administrator can use the FileCM Scripting Engine to automate FileCM specific tasks such as locking records, updating fields or generating reports, as well as being able to notify distribution members via e-mail of tasks requiring attention.
Tasks can be processed sequentially or in parallel, with the flow only moving to the next task once the current task members have completed the task.
